The world is in a totally confused state with regards to religion, our origins and how many gods are there; I choose to say at this juncture.
Apart from the myriad religions we have all over the world, new and divergent beliefs are cropping up every now and then--I’ll not mention any so as not to antagonize any of my probable readers.
But I bet you know them all---they are all over the place; in the news, internet, worshiping places etc.

My point today encompasses all these belief systems. Some people believe in a God, while some believe in gods. Some believe he is Allah, while some believe he/she is some sacred statue or animal.
Some don’t believe in a Supreme Being at all. Others believe in the creation theory, others in evolution, big bang theory; you name it. So how many gods are there?
But what if all this is simply describing the same thing--and how many gods are there doesn't make sense!
What if we are merely describing how some Supreme Being did it or who he is. Could it be that we are akin to the blind men describing the elephant in Aesop’s infamous fable?
I mean, we mention a Supreme Being as being all powerful, almighty, omnipresent etc. We even describe him as the Alpha and Omega but forget that if that is the case, then our creator is probably able to do anything; including not existing too. So how many gods are there! The answer beckons!!
Isn’t it a fact that he could be everything and nothing at the same time? What makes it so difficult to believe that he is the active participant or ingredient in all creation and origins theories? What makes it hard for him or her to exist in any or all the forms that we believe he is in? Or is this issue too weighty for your comfort!
The mere thought of this fact sends a shudder down my spine! Is it possible that some Supreme Being could have known that Aesop will, sometime around 5th Century BC, tell a fable of blind men describing an elephant? Is he or she: aware of the confusion derived from our belief systems and our nagging question,how many gods are there?
Could the unseen power have led me to question whether we are, merely describing how he or did it?
This mere thought makes me wonder what our Supreme Being and his minders could be doing right this very moment; if they exist of course. They must be so “tuned in” due to this blog, I bet!
So, sorry to disturb you ladies and gentlemen. But when it comes to how many gods are there, I’m just querying whether we are subjects of a test by a Being far much greater than us?
